The Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet is one of the most scenic places in the entire world. We drive down one of our nation’s scenic by-ways, through nature’s masterpiece. The ever changing nature of the drive is it’s charm, gorgeous in any weather. Continuing down a glacier-lined road, we enjoy lunch, then go to the boat for the one-hour Portage Glacier Cruise. In the comfort of our van, we drive or you walk through the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to view Alaska’s large animals including brown bear in a natural setting.

At the Iditarod Trail Headquarters Meet Bowser and Snowball, two of several Iditarod dogs that pull you on a cart ride. Off the beaten day tour path, we take you to view the Matanuska Glacier. Our guides provide the necessary gear and take you for a three hour trek onto the ice. If you can be on your feet for 3 hours and climb a flight of stairs without using the handrails, you are good to go. Tour includes lunch at a rustic roadhouse.
